Greetings from NJ!
I'm New to BYC. I have a 7 week old flock that is 35 strong. 25 chicks from Strombergs and 12 from Meyers Hatchery.
I

know how to get around in sites like this as I have never been a member of any before, so I will appreciate any assistance.
Thank you
Dianna

. Great to have you aboard! BYC is quite large but after a little practice it is pretty easy to navigate. Up in the forum navigation bar above you can scroll up or down and open various forums that cover all aspects of poultry care. Open any of those and read through old postings. If you want to learn something specific or have a question type in a couple key words in the BYC search bar and it will take you to various threads where that issue has been discussed previously. It all seems daunting at first but you'll be an old hand in no time.

I'm a tech dinosaur - still using a land line phone, calculator and barely can handle a computer. I find almost everything through the search box and it's a lot easier than a bunch of clicks everywhere else.

After all these years still can't post photos unless someone does it for me.

Hi Diana and welcome to BYC - great that you have joined us. Don't worry too much about not posting on the most appropriate forum etc - members will help you out, regardless. Like you, I had never used a forum before, nor any social media stuff, so i was a bit lost, to say the least. You'll get the hang of it very soon.

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre https://www.backyardchickens.com/newsearch?search=learning+centre and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you

All the best
