Greetings Everyone, I have been a lurker for long time finially decided to get chicks this year and raise them again. I grew up on a farm where we raised 400 chickens a year for food purposes only. So when we decided to get them back again its mainly for food purposes again but mostly for eggs and then we will use for meat too. We ordered 50 chicks. We converted two of my big horse stalls in the barn to a coop, well we are converting, seems every time we turn around we run into a glitch..... They will have a big run outside. I have this big area of grass that we will be fencing in. so they are going to have lots of space. I do not want to free range them as we have too many predators here. Coyotes and hawks. I will be making the run as predator proof as I can. Right now they are in a big pool in the basement and doing great. Thought everyone would like to see pictures of the little peeps....Dont know if these pictures worked or not.....
