Good Evenin,
My name is Dee. I am a chicken mom of 19. I started out with two Australorps a year ago. Lost one to Merecks. A friend gave me two and one of those got wryneck. I was able to save her. But she isn't the same. I hatched some eggs from her 5 weeks ago and I am seeing her pretty face in those babies. This morning one of them tried to crow. Guess we will see how this unfolds.

Lol I can't help myself! However I have a new worry. I have put tarp on top of my chicken coop and it still leaks and I think that's why my rooster has a touch of frostbite on his comb.
It's just me so fixing a roof is not in the equation. In the spring I want to see about starting from scratch and building a brand new coop. This one that my birds are using came with my place that I bought a year-and-a-half ago. Guess I better start mapping out a blueprint for chicken condo.

Hi! Welcome to BYC! We are in the same boat. For 4 years now I have added coops, fixed runs and sorted out chickens. Everything is going well now, but soon we will build our one big coop....we hope. And they said there wouldn't be any math.
