Hello All,
My name is Calvin, I live on a small acreage at Pakenham Upper in Australia.
I am working on building a sustainable lifestyle and have added a flock of chickens to my daily routine
The flock consists of 2 Isa Browns, 1 Plymouth Rock rooster & 4 hens, 1 Gold Wyandotte rooster & 4 hens.
There is also a 'transient' flock consisting of approximately 100 wood ducks, 200 cockatoo's, 12 king parrots, 20 + crimson rosellas and numerous other birds, however they are not caged, they just enjoy the free feed I put out for my chickens. One bonus is that the wild bird numbers around the property have noticeably increased this year and I like to think that the 'free feed' has had a hand in helping them recover their numbers.
I look forward to meeting some new friends here and sharing experiences and information.
