Greetings from Montana

Hi all...I'm new to the site and loving it! I've just started with 5 RIRs from chicks (now 2 months old), 3 Ameraucana hens (6 months old), and 2 Black Copper Marans Roosters (5 months old). That is my flock of 10 chickens. Two of the Amerauanas are now laying. The RIRs are hilarious at this age, one thinks she is a parrot and likes to sit on my shoulder as I work around the yard...
I'm building my coop from mostly all reclaimed/recycled materials and it's really shaping up. I will post some pics soon. Glad to be part of your community here! Melissa

Your chickens sound like a hoot. I used to have a couple of pullets who'd climb onto my shoulders for a perch.
