Hi I live near Portsmouth, Hampshire. I have three ex bats happily living in my garden.
One of my girlies decided she wanted to be a mum so I got her some fertile eggs.
I now have four six week old chicks.

Congrats on the chicks! Ex-bats make fabulous moms

One of mine looked after her chicks until they were 4 months old!

Unfortunately my ex bat broody was a brilliant dedicated mum until the hatching day. Then she pecked the chicks so hard that I had to seperate them. I don't think she understood the link between eggs and chicks. Unless it was because the chicks were a different colour. Still she's back with her friends and laying again so no harm done. And all of the chicks doing really well. Their in a seperate part of the run where she can still see them. Their gorgeous and growing so fast
