Hi all!
New to BYC and raising chickens...started with 6 SL reds in april, by september b got 12new chicks to add (got an assorted layer package) thankfully the winter isn't too harsh yet...waiting for the young ones to get old enough to start on later feed so I can un-divide the coop...they are 13 weeks now so planning in about 3 more weeks??? Never thought the darn things would be so

You can switch them to layer in about 3 week's yes, or offer oystershell in a separate bowl so they can help themselves if and when they need a calcium boost.
