Howdy Ya'll! These forums are crazy busy!

Just wanted to say hello. Got chicks this morning from Atwoods in Broken Arrow. Kids and wife are stoked about fresh eggs. I had chickens as a kid growing up in Southern Alabama. Looking forward to sharing the experience with the kids, that and fresh eggs

Time to build a coop/run!

ah, chicken before the coop. We did that. My advice is to hurry up on the coop and run.

I am glad you all are eggcited about this. It is a lot of fun.
 
Yup, kinda cart before the horse I suppose. I think I've decided on what I want the coop to look like, which is the hard part. Building it wont take but a day or 2

poor husband worked so hard...hauling all of the tools and materials in and out between the thunderstorms.
I was so tired of the chicken dust and noise in the house.... we got six weeks of rain all day everyday...
we had dinosaurs in the living room by the time he was done! we decided that we alone can control the freak weather around here. My neighbors are painting their house and not a cloud in the sky.

I hope it only take a couple days! get going! hurry, stop playing around on BYC! go!
