I've read all the replies and can't thank you enough for the informations. Let's see how she does in the next few days... Regarding this advice, in particular, I've tried that yesterday, letting her free-range in the garden, but I've noticed that she was feeling alone. So, I brought one of the smaller chicks to join her, which helped to an extent. Oddly, her best friend seems to be one of the other boys. They used to cuddle frequently and, today, she finally came out of the corner after I moved him into her area. I wonder if this will go on after he grows into adult size? Maybe I should expand the enclosure to accommodate two clans, permanently...

Keep her with whom ever gets along with her, it really doesn't matter who it is. As long as she isn't being harmed or bullied, keeping her with a buddy is good for her mental state. Sometimes we need to make different arrangements for certain birds however and if that means separation from the flock, sometimes it is necessary. Do what is best for her, ultimately.

Keep us posted as the days go by and I do hope she makes a full recovery!
