Im new to chickens, my husband had some growing up in Oregon. We got our first chickens in late August at TS
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
17 egg layers and 39 meat birds
(3) What breeds do you have?
7 Buff Orpington
4 Light Brahma
6 Faverolle baby chicks (yesterday)
39 Cornish X
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They get crazy as soon as we open the barn, they eat everything and layed beautiful healthy eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
gardening, building our family farm
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
worked at the birthplace of Historic Route 66

I found about BYC as soon as I have the first chickens, finally join to talk not just read about.
