I've been lurking for a long while and finally signed-up almost a year ago. Last spring I got my local permit to raise chickens on my small slice of suburbia but I'm only now getting ready to pull the trigger. I started buying some supplies to build a coop and hope to get that going soon. I stumbled upon BYC while general researching and it's been a major source of information. As I move forward, it makes sense to take the plunge and join the group.
