Greetings from the arachnid family. :)

I will definitely look into buying some. Dumb question, will they hang around in large numbers...IE reproduce and come back year after year, or would I need to buy them every year to keep from having the low number I have now?

This place has better prices and smaller amounts. I think you can get them on Amazon, too

Not joking!

Not sure if they come back or not. I would just get some at Home Depot and see what happens. I don't think they are very expensive.

I've always liked spiders but DH hates them--any spiders that I find in the house are carried outside, but DH uses the simple squish 'em method. There's quite a few black widows in the rock border of the front flower bed, so I don't think he will be helping me with the weeding there.

And THIS one......

This was the last picture my digital camera ever took. Stupid me, after having took like 10 shots of this little guy, I looked back at the screen and noticed he had disappeared. I thought, huh? and flipped the camera over and looked on the front. Sure enough! There he was crawling up the lens toward me!!! AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!! I paniced at the thought of it and dropped my camera, which made a not so pleasant, ta-tink as it bounced off the pavement. And of course now it is broken. darn jumping spiders. Why do they have to be so fearless?

I WAS able to take apart and fix my camera... thank goodness

the lens aparatus was jostled out of place and couldn;t function properly.

I had one of those guys in the red pic on my gate last week...I said hi...he was big enough for me to count all 6 of his eyes...
I've been bit by a tarantula...not too bad compared to a bee/wasp sting at all.

Mike, DS, was going up to go to bed and he's like "HOly bleep! What a big spider". It was a yellow house spider...she was just climbing back up with some "Fourth Meal"...

We've had a TON of spiders this year...hope it's not a bad season for other beasties.

Since I had no idea what the arachnid family was, I opened this thread, sorry for all you guys that aren't afraid of spiders but if I see one of any kind I scream until DH comes and kills it,no matter what size it is.and so does any child of mine. Lived in the imperial valley of Calif and the tranchulas there grow enormous, my GS loved them and would play with them but he knew DO NOT BRING ONE HOME.
