Not many avian vets in these parts, unless we want to drive a distance, so asking around, the folks here have gotten MANY mentions. Let me say, I'm grateful for all the information I've gleaned over the past few years and decided to join in with my own experience which is a LOT of web-searching, watching avian veterinary videos and direct experience.
Not a "chicken people", to be honest, though I've had my share of child-hood experience, to be sure. This is a "dove house" but come to find out, most of the information that avian vets have accrued comes from the studies on chickens and the general similarities are, well, pretty fascinating.
So, "looking forward" to posting questions and, hopefully useful answers is putting it mildly.
Seems there's a large void where "avian vets" are concerned so it looks like we're our own best doctors.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for posting. And thank you to the founders of this site and forum! You're all a blessing (IMHO).

Hey, feel free to check out this section of the forum here: Pigeons and Doves
Thanks for the directions! Have been browsing the very section. It's a comfort to see. I've been digging, scrolling, searching, learning for a long time, alone, should have come here from the start.
THANK YOU!
