Hello!
I am just starting out with my chicken project in Seacoast NH. I have done quite a bit of research and I have found so much extremely helpful information on BYC. I'm sure as this adventure progresses I will be needing to find even more helpful advice.
I am currently in process of designing and gathering materials for my coop and run. I am on the fence about whether to hatch my own or purchase day old chicks. I walked into the local Agway yesterday telling myself I would just take a peek at the chicks and nearly walked out with several armfuls. Who says I don't have self restraint....
This year I not only have spring fever to start my gardens, but now I have the fever to get my coop up and running!
It is lovely to have so much to look forward to, so for now the planning and the gathering of supplies will continue. I am hopeful that someday soon I will be able to share pictures of my coop and chickens.... and hopeful that mine will look nearly as gorgeous as the coops and chickens I have seen here!
Thanks for all of the info so far!
