Hi! I live in the UK, and would like to get some kind of fowl for my back garden for companionship and for eggs. I was thinking about chickens, but after reading a few posts about them Muskovy ducks seem more interesting. Thank you for letting me join!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm very new to backyard fowl.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I don't have any yet! I'm using this forum to get a better handle on what I need to do to keep them properly, and to help me decide what to get.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like gardening, and most kinds of fibre crafts--I don't have enough time to do them all. I also like reading, especially SF/Fantasy, and working on vintage sewing machines.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have two young adult kids, a husband and a cat.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Whenever I start looking up info about having backyard birds I would get a lot of results from this forum, so I decided I might as well join up!
