Welcome to BYC! Yeah, someone nearby has joined! I'm from Salem, OR. Nice to see someone close. This is my first year at raising chickens. I ended up getting a polish roo as well. I love him. He's my favorite. Good luck on egg hatching.

Greetings! It's been very busy here, one or two hatches a day. They are so adorable!! My hens have hatched 2. I have hatched 15 in the incubator. My hens have abandoned their clutches. So I brought the eggs in. We'll see how well I do with hatching eggs at various stages. I can't use the egg turner so I've tried to mark the eggs with diferent colored pencil markings and dates. I must be crazy I have thirty eggs in the incubaor. We are buying another brooder tank tomorrow. We are using a large galvanized water tank. It's perfect, just getting a bit full.
