I have 2 waterers...but they freeze quickly in winter.

Unfortunately, with true power not being an option, it doesn't sound like there will be many other options. There are several heated waterers, but I'm pretty sure they need to be plugged in. One option I'm considering myself is exploring some solar options. I have seen some solar bird bath heaters. You could also install a larger solar panel that may produce enough power to run a couple things around the coop.

Thanks! Yes, all the heated waterers I've seen are electric. I may consider a solar panel depending on $$$.
