Chirping
Along with many cats, dogs, and birds (occupational hazard!) I'm a newbie mom to 10 Gold Laced Wyandotte hens, 2 roosters, and a New Hampshire Red hen who was a freebie from the hatchery.
I purchased them as day old chicks and have had a smashing success with them so far. They are now 9wks old and my larger, dominant, rooster just started crowing this morning!
Since my coop is a short distance from my house I'm not really looking forward to winter...still trying to figure out the water situation since there's no electricity in the coop and I don't want to run electric cords all that distance. Lugging water jugs twice a day seems like the only option? Arghhhh!
