Joining you from the Shenandoah valley area of VA. We purchased a small ( 10 acre ) property 3 years ago and finally finished the reno of the house and other out buildings and now working on turning it into a real homestead. My husband I both work FT (I am in tech) and looking forward to this next adventure. We are starting with chickens and plan on converting this run-in shed into a coop. We have a lot of farmers around us who are so helpful but open to advice.

Welcome! Good luck with your chickens. You can get lots of good advice here. Top on my list for a coop is nesting boxes that you can access from outside. Being able to gather eggs without going into the coop.
