I've had both BSLs and RSLs over the years and I think it depends partly on which silver gene hen (WR, RIW, SLW, Delaware, or Light Sussex) is used in the RSL cross. Two things that have been pretty consistent with mine though are that my BSLs have been a little friendlier than my RSLs, and slightly better layers in really cold winter weather. Both of them are egg laying machines though. Good luck with your sex links.14 red sex links and 3 black sex links. the 3 black sex links are larger than the red ones, older maybe or is that a trait for them? they do control the upper roost in the coop![]()
