Just wanted to say Hi to everybody! We've been farming for years and raising our own chickens & other animals and happened on this site via a link on a "Rob Bob" video in YouTube. I hope to help others in their desires to farm and raise animals & look forward to learning yet other tips & tricks that I haven't seen yet from all of you!

Several breeds but to name the prominent ones we've kept over the years: Leghorns, White-faced Black Spanish, Rhode Island Reds, Australorps, Rhode Island Whites and Plymouth Rocks. Can't forget our lovely Ameraucanas & Auraucanas! Ducks, Goose & Turkey.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. Like me, you've had quite a diverse flock. Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children, and my granddaughter, made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs.
