I am a Chick-n-mama to 13 various types of chickens, 1 Rhode Island Red Rooster that is a big sissy, 2 Polish, 1 cochin, 2 americana, 1 russian olaf, 1 sexlink, 1 bantam, 2 barred rock, 2 idk what kind but they lay blue eggs, the new addition Hudini or Helen(cuz she escaped the coop and now has no eyes right now from a recent attack) and 2 Peking ducks, one male, one female. We live in Ramona CA. on 8 acres and also have horses and a sweet little dog on the property named Chewy. All have lived harmoniously until recently when our new addition was attacked by our duck/ducks and or chickens? That is what prompted me to get on here in search of some helpful info on how to save my brothers bird. Love this forum and love seeing all the Chicken lovers and family out there from all over!

G’Day from down under Chick-n-mama :frow Welcome!

Sorry to hear about you girl :(

I do hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
