Hello! They were a spur of the moment decision...by my husband! We had been in the planning and preparing stage for a few months now. We went to our local Atwood's to see the prices and ingredients of their feed, and hubby wondered off suddenly. When I went to look for him, they had some Bantams. I was admiring them, getting excited for the day we could get our own, and he comes over and said "ok, let's make a deal..."Ah, we're the same person! Been married to my college BF for almost 20 years. Got the chickens to improve my mental health. Results have been mixed
Welcome to the forum! Did you choose bantams because of prior experience?
I do want to get some eggs chickens for outside, since the Bantams are more my therapy pets and stay indoors. I was looking at Brahma and Orpington. We just have to check out our city ordinances and rules to see how few I have to get.
