Grey Junglefowl

I thought they were from India didn't know they were from Canada
They are from India but the last imports of wild birds directly into the USA were in the 70's because in 1975 they were placed on appendix I of CITES, after 2000 they were reclassified as species of least concern and wild birds have since been imported to Canada and the UK, I don't know if any were imported into the USA but I am not aware of any.
 
Does anyone have them for sale in the US and how do you think they will fair in Florida Year round. Do they have a problem with cold temps periodically as it can get into the 40's where I am

They will do fine in FL, I live in the mountains near Lake Tahoe, CA and temps get into the low teens along with snow. I do heat my barns but they get out every day unless there is a storm and as long as they are protected from the wind do fine.

very good looking bird,i have red jungle fowl also,mine stays out all day then back to the coop at night,do u kept your green jungle fowl lock up in a pen or they are too wild to let out,i guess mine are use to me they come to me quick when they see me,like to know more about the green fowl
