Can someone please post a picture of grey silkie chicks, I'm thinking I might have some though I'm not sure what to look for to determine the colour

Post some pictures of your chicks, I've never heard of such a thing as a 'grey' silkie, but I may be able to help you decide if they're blue, splash or lavender :3

I have greys!!! I't snot an official colour, but the colour used to describe a chick that is neither splash, blue, lavender, or really anything else...I'll see if I can find some pics :-)

These are all older pics, except the one standing in the straw. She (we hope, lol) hatched this morning :-)

Grey silkies are silver partridge. They are silver and black while partridge silkes are gold and black.

Examples I found online.

Grey and Silver Partridge are not the same thing. Don't mean to contradict you, but Silver Partridge are one of my main breeding projects (Second only to Paints) and greys look very different. However, some people may refer to silver partridges as greys, as they aren't a well-known colour.

So the difference between grey and silver partridge is????

This was my best Silver Partridge rooster, Obi-Wane. He got bitten by a poisonous snake while protecting his hen's brood

This is a young grey. I don't really keep greys, so don't have an adult pic.
The difference: Greys are just that. Grey. They're not an official colour-they're really just kinda a 'mutation' so to speak of blue. Kinda in between blue and lavender. So, they're grey.
Silver partridge are silver, black, and (on roosters only) red. They have a standard and need the right colours in the right places. Greys are solid (with the exception of highlights) and Silver Partridge is a certain blending of all the right colours.
The main difference is the standard-Silver Partridge is a 'colour' according to officials and grey is not. My grey chicks usually show up when I breed my white roo to my black hens, which I'm doing trying to get some white hens. Lots of whites, but they're all roos

but that's a different story...
Hope I made this clear. I'll get some pics of some of my silver partridge girls tomorrow, and my current rooster, Todd Johnson.

Oh, and any of y'all know anything about Mille Fleurs? Check out my thread: Mille Fleur Questions. I'm totally stumped, and would love some help! I'm new to Milles; Silver Partridge and Paints are my thing. The milles are Cochins by the way :-)
