Grinch the Sultan

Grinch is my one-legged Sultan hen, and this is her story. A friend of mine gave me a mystery chick (which was Grinch) and told me to take good care of her. Then, we looked closer and saw her leg was hurt badly. After 3 weeks of limping her leg had to be amputated. After the wound healed I 3D printed a prosthetic for her, I thought "If I covered up the fake leg with feathers, she would be less likely to get picked on and bullied at." And I was right! A few weeks after that, she was walking again, but with some help from a wheelchair. She likes to crow every 12 minutes and is becoming a very amazing crowing hen!

It's amazing what people like you do to help chickens live a happy life. Congratulations for your efforts.
