Grind It Myself Chicken Feed

Hello,
First post, here goes.
Of course I could be wrong but I think when you crack most seeds decomposition begins like when you grind wheat into flour. Therefore can I buy mixed chicken feed and my own grinder and just grind what I need when I need it to help keep up the nutrition in the feed and keep it fresh?
If so where can I buy this in Marxachusetts?

You know, I've never been to Taxachusetts before, so I wouldn't know.

I imagine you'd have to go somewhere out into the country to a place that stores grains.
