grinding beak?

I have a *house chicken* for the moment, until she finishes recovering from her frostbite incident. Her beak is starting to grow too much and she keeps trying to find something to grind it down on. It isn't terribly long and she should easily be able to do it herself if I provide her something to do it on. Dh was going to get a brick and put it in her pen but I wanted to check in here and see what other options there are too.....

I guess you could put a clean brick in with her. I can't think of any reason why not.

Those cross-cut type dog toe nail clippers work real well to trim an upper beak.
