Grinding noise??

so, every time i pick up one of my chicks, he "runs" in mid air.

when he moves his legs, it makes sort of a "took" noise
LOL

if you can make that a sound

and maybe like something is sloshing around??

it almost sounds like his bones rubbing together or something in his stomach,
i don't know

what is it?

Are you feeding chick starter only or are you giving him something else?

i know it sounds weird!

i can't describe it!

he is on medicated chick starter, and he is the only one that makes the noise.

it almost sounds like his tummy is hollow or something...

maybe i am being paranoid

If he's acting healthy in all other ways, it could just be his own unique noise - several of my birds have funny little sounds that I only hear from them.

so true about the unique sounds. my chicks are only 5 days old but I can tell already which one is talking by it's sound. One of them "trills" like my canary!
