He was around earlier. Just do what I do when he gets too quiet. Shoot off a PM to him and aggravate the tar outta him in private.

I don't think so, yet. I think all three of the chickateers - Cash, Rowdy and TJ - just need some chickie valium while they try to find their place in the pecking order. I'm in the process of moving TJ in with the brahma hens to replace his daddy, but every time I force him to stay with them he freaks and cries so much I end up giving in and letting him go back to his original flock.

Not to mention every time one of the boys tries to mate they end up kicking their behinds handed to them by every hen within stomping distance.

What is in TJs flock?? Poor little man. Prob don't help the girls keep kicking his butt. That is a def ego killer.

Sorry Kitt, I got distracted and didn't see your question.

TJ is the son of my late great rooster Thor, a LF dark brahma. Now that Thor has passed the brahma girls need a roo to lead them. I'm trying to convince TJ that he needs to live with them now.
In the flock he was hatched into, every time one of the cockerels tries to mate a hen all the other hens come running over to defend the hen getting mated. So the boys get their butts kicked by at least 3 or 4, especially by my turken hens.
