Grit & Oyster Shells

Question on this. I am feeding my 5-6 week olds starter/grower now so no need for grit there but I have also put them in the coop and run. They now both have deep litter(leaves and wood chips already composting) the deep litter has bugs and worms/slugs. Should I feed the some granite grit as well to help digest these things they find in the litter/dirt floor run.

I’d say yes just to be on the safe side.
I recently had to cull a sweet 4 week old chick with an impacted crop.
Not fun at all :hit
Be sure to get the chick sized grit.
Some say that chick grit helps the babies crop muscles develop. And it’s not expensive so why not.
