Grit question

I made a stop at the feed store for grit. The salesman ask me what size I needed. I had no clue. I have 9 week olds that are running around the yard and I figured they needed grit. What size do I buy? I had no idea the grit came in different sizes. My birds eat a lot of sand that is in the soil.
Am I thinking in the right direction that they need bigger grit? John

I do not know but I would assume chick or juvenile size....small - medium?

TSC sells Chick Grit and Chicken Grit. I would say Chick Grit for 9 weekers. Although, I have heard that if chicks, chickens free range they don't need grit. They get little stones from the ground.

I have not started using it yet as my little babies are only 3 days old...but I bought Starter grit
