Grit

Hi. New to hatching and raising turkeys. Have done a lot of reading. I noticed in that reading that turkey Poults…at 2 days old…need grit? With chickens I supply grit when they eat anything other than their feed. But, it is different for turkeys? I can give them the grit I use for my chickens, but not sure why they need it with their feed and so young. Can someone enlighten me please? Thanks!

Grit can be needed early if you are keeping the poults on wood chips.
