Grits and Alfalfa

So, how do you prepare them? And serve them with what????

I like them savory, just cooked in milk with butter and seasonings like salt, pepper, garlic powder. Or with some cheese. Topped with sauteed shrimp, onion and peppers for "shrimp and grits." A local restaurant even turns their grits into "fries" and they're super tasty, crispy on outside and creamy inside (I imagine they cook it thick, let it cool, cut it up and then fry it).

Unsurprisingly I like oatmeal and polenta as well.

I LOVE grits....can't buy them in canada though :( you can however get them @ Denny's... but being here in Canada they just don't know how to cook them.

I eat mine with butter, brown sugar & cream or milk. Mmmmm
No offense meant at all - but putting sugar in grits is sacrelig in the south. :) Just needs maybe some milk, def butter, and cheese is amazing.
