Gritsar needs our prayers and healing thoughts, PLEASE!!

Thanks T and everyone else.
I'm taking a breather, just arrived home from the hospital - such a long drive - and then I'll fill everyone in on how my DH is doing. He's still in the hospital, but out of the woods finally.

Oh, soo happy to hear he's out of the woods.

You are both still in my prayers.

Hey y'all, each and every one of you - your thoughts, prayers and kindness mean more than you'll ever know.

Okay, sorry I left everyone hanging but we (DSD#1 and I) haven't hardly left DH's side since Wednesday morning when all of this started. I wasn't thinking clearly when we left here to drive to Hot Springs, so I've been without my meds., clean clothes or anything up there.

This afternoon, the cardiologist assured us that DH is out of the woods, so we made the hard decision to come home for the evening and drive back to Hot Springs tomorrow; when hopefully he will be discharged.

On Wed. morning DH had an appt. with the orthopedist for his broken leg, which was a workman's comp. injury, but when I woke up that morning DSD told me that DH had been up sick for a few hours with some soreness on the left side of his chest and shortness of breath. They had let me sleep because I myself had a mild case of pneumonia. DH was already on antibiotics that our doctor called in - we both are - because it looked like he was getting the pneumonia I already had.
I decided to take him to the ER at our local hospital - "local" being an hour away - because the antibiotics didn't seem to be helping. DH wasn't in the ER any time at all when they told me he'd had a heart attack and was being transferred to the heart hospital in Hot Springs. By the time I drove back to the house, got DSD #1 and drove to Hot Springs, DH was already out of the cath. lab, they put a stent in the artery that was blocked.
We thought he would get to come home yesterday but he was still having chest pain so an observant nurse decided to have one of their radiologisits look at his chest x-rays from our local hospital. They found he also has a double pneumonia.

Yesterday they told us that he would get to come home today, but they repeated the chest x-rays last night and the doc said the pneumonia is worse than they initially thought, so he's getting IV antibiotics and breathing treatments every four hours.

DH has exactly 34 days to go before he can retire from the force and when he does he will be the first officer EVER in the history of the local police department to do so; so we're just gonna hold on and do what we have to do until then.

Again, I can't thank y'all enough for all your kind words.
