Ground cover that will last?

Hahah we need to selectively breed the one plant of Dutch white clover that the chickens inevitably leave behind in every run. There’s always one tiny piece that the chickens never get to. Just one though. 😂😂😂
 
Sand is always good if you have a covered run. My girls have sand in the coop and run. It’s easy to keep clean, they love to scratch around and dustbathe, and the eggs are always clean. I buy natural, washed, coarse grain river sand from the local quarry.
