Every year we wait for a silly ground hog to predict the weather. And of course he is never correct.

Well, forget about that silly ground hog who is never right. Pennsylvania Phyllis has been 100% correct in her predictions to date. She has made her prediction for 2022. What does she say? See Below.

Pennsylvania Phyllis emerged from her coop this morning and does NOT see her shadow. This means an early spring with only 4 more weeks of winter.

I think that I see a shadow. Is that just an aberration of my old eyes? :old
I believe you are seeing a variation in the color of the wood combined with dirt and straw. There was no visible shadow this morning. We have deep overcast skies.

Follow-Up Time, Was she right?

Of course Phyllis was right!

On March 1st there was no snow cover and today the temperature topped 56°F, Friday it will be 73°F. The robins showed up on the 1st as well. It looks like spring has arrived.

Go Phyllis!

I take it her forecasts are limited to Hershey? It's still winter here in Wyoming.
Why yes they are limited to where she lives. I'm so sorry she was not able to bring spring early to Wyoming.
