Ground Layer

Are they dirty? you don't really have to wash them if they aren't. You can wipe them off with a damp cloth if you need to but from what I have read here, they do just fine without being washed
 
You can buy an egg brush. I don't exactly know what it is but you can buy it on eggcartons.com
 
Eggs are layed with a protective coating (bloom) on them to keep out bacteria, I don't wash them until I'm ready to use them.
