Grow off pen

On my way to lumber store to pick up supplies. Grow off pen for Mothers Day

Just a quick question.
I will be putting young G. Giant Bobs in this pen. This is to be right after the brooder.
What size wire is recommended for the bottom? Thinking 1/2 inch hardware cloth. Are the openings small enough for those tiny feet?

After a few weeks they'll do fine on 1/2 inch.

I swear by 1/2' Hardware cloth all around! You can't go wrong.

I use 1/2 by 1 for growoff pens and it works really well.

I will echo the 1/2" wire fans here.....

What poop doesn't fall right on through won't be there very long with all the foot traffic from those little energetic terrorist!!!!
