Quinoa is lower in protein than chia 28% vs 34% and also lower in calcium 4% vs 63%.

If you are like me, I will give my girls whatever they will eat as long as they eat something green during the winter. Now I do give them cabbage, but it has to be cooked "la dente" and well seasoned. They will not it raw cabbage. If there is some extra warm broth left in with the cabbage they just love it. I tried growing some fancy grasses from seed and they would not go near it. Although they ate up my blueberry plants down to the woody stems in just one day. I had to fence off my succulents and herbs or I would not have had any plants left. I also found out that they love the leaves from the sweet potatoes/ yams. They won't eat the sweet potatoes/yams but they will make a meal off the leaves.

My pup dug a whole under the blueberries, burried his bone - then proceeded to eat the whole plant roots and all! I feel your pain....

And I bet all you did was get upset and say bad puppy. Or in my case say : bad chickens, bad chickens!!! I did get to eat " 3 Fresh Organically Grown Blueberries", before they wiped out my plants. They have more than paid me back with more than 20 dozen eggs some being Double Yokers. Well that's life in the City Farm where my chickens are more like trained pets than chickens. If someone says you can't train your chickens, they are so wrong. Food is a great incentive, makes rounding them up to put them up for the night so much easier. I even got them to wipe their feet on the door mat when they come into the house. They like to explore inside the house. I don't let them stay inside for any extended lenght of time. Well you have to be a very special person to have chickens.

Mine inhale raw cabbage. I buy the coleslaw mix which is shredded cabbage and carrots and the go crazy for it and eat every last piece!

Just started my second tray of fodder. Going to rinse better and not let it go so long. Very excited about this batch.

dont forget to get another batch soaking
lol I did forget. Huuuu My DH is going to flip. I have fermenting feed in laundry room. 50 pounds of wheat in the garage with 20 one week old chicks. Two incubators in the closet and now trays of wheat in the windows. Lol I am going to hear it soon. :aul
