It's currently the middle of Summer here so not the best time for growing but still better than your US

Is there any way of growing or making my own bedding for my chickens? Perhaps wheat!?!?
I don't have a huge farm but would still need a large amount of bedding/ nesting material.

    Thanks, Lucas[IMG].

Wheat is not a bad idea at all, since you could harvest the wheat and then use the shafts for straw bedding. Any of the straw grass family would be good. Not sure where you live, but if you cut your own lawn and rake your own leaves, you can use those as well.

    Ok, thanks [IMG].
I would but I am terribly paranoid about mites[IMG]. I had a bad ordeal with some.
