growing my own feed.. good? bad?

this spring i'm thinking of planting corn and tomatoes.. can you think of anything else than my hens would enjoy? thank you

They eat it raw, I split it open for them. I discovered they liked it when one of them got into the garden. They like watermelon and lettuce.
 
I am just planting for us, but with extras for the girls, tomatoes, carrots, beans, pumpkin, courgette and I have planted sunflowers just for them and the goats:lau
 
My picky girls loved the cucumbers that grew to big to be pickled or sliced.

I, too, am growing a "chicken garden." I'm planting cucumbers, yellow summer squash, okra, and sunflowers. I'll see what they like and what they don't...

They love greens. Kale, chard, collard, spinach, turnip, beet, it's all good. Since I love chard and it's one of the greens that grows well and tastes good in cool and hot weather, I grow a lot of it. They come in a rainbow of colors, so I think they are pretty, too. Kale is especially good planted for a fall and winter harvest. Most chickens like most foods.
