Growing open wound worsening, any ideas? (with pictures) //Updated

I would do the elizabethan collar. Do you have some paper cups and tape? I have one on my dog right now, he has sores on his head and it stops him scratching. I would cut the base out of a paper cup, or cardstock, in a circle and wrap it around the chick's neck and tape it there, then put on some furacin or betadine if you have it. Even with socks on that chick is probably still going to try to scratch itself.

Thanks. I actually ended up taping her legs together. I couldn't figure out how to make a cup stay on. But the binding is off now and she's been reunited. She is the purple chicken in the post just before yours!
