Do you think it’s okay to put 8 week old chicks in a coop with grown chickens….?

Probably not the best idea without a good few weeks of integration through a fence or something. I tried doing it, they did get attacked a bit but not too badly injured. They are now grown up and in the same flock, the issue is the older hens still view the younger ones as chicks and a target, even though they’re all the same size now. So they still get the occasional peck and they don’t like them to be too close.

We have introduced our 3 raptors at 8 weeks but we made a coop/run to go inside the big chickens run so they could look no touch for a few weeks.
It worked quite well, we put a little chick size door that after a week or so we opened so they could come out and join the big girls but if they needed an escape they could get in their little door to safety with the big girls unable to fit.
After about 3 weeks of this when the chicks decided themselves to join the big girls in the big coop we took out the little run/coop and they've got along just fine. Our big girls are the Mean Girls but they haven't injured anyone thank goodness but I think this has helped.
