My 2 year old Blue Wyandotte has a growth between 2 of her toes. She is a very shy hen and I really struggled to get these pics, I'm sorry they are not more clear.

The bottom is the size of a large green pea and the top portion is the size of a very small green pea.

I just noticed this tonight. There has been no change in her behavior that I have noticed. She is eating, drinking, walking, pooping normally.

I'm a brand new chicken mom and I have no idea what to do about this. Can someone tell me if this if Bumble foot or something else that I need to treat?

Thanks so much!

Can you grab her at night and get a photo of the bottom of the foot?

It looks like possible Bumblefoot, but I wonder if she's got a poop ball stuck in the crevice of her foot.

Thank you for the reply, WR! Do you mean the "growths" themselves are poop balls? If so, then I would say no. I got a pretty good look at them and the growths are definitely her tissue. I am currently in the process of building their coop so right now they are sleeping in the apple tree in the run. So it's not possible to grab her at night, unfortunately.

OK So you already saw it and have a good idea of what it is. Then treat as bumblefoot

Okey Dokey, will do, thanks. You might be wondering "why is she asking this question if she already knew it was bumblefoot?" So background info. I was gifted this flock 6 weeks ago by my Son-in-law. Before that, I had never seen a chicken in person. :)
I've been doing a lot of research trying to be a good caretaker for them, but I really con't know what I'm doing! So thank you for responding and I will search on this site for the correct treatment of bumblefoot and proceed!

get a photo of the bottom of the foot?
I suppose I should have just tried again.

Please post some photos of the bottom of the foot.

Sorry, I forgot that you asked for that. It's going to require the assistance of my husband because the hen is so skittish. I will try to get a photo this weekend.
