Hello! My favorelle had fowl pox, dry version, which seemed to last forever and was worse than any of the other chickens. Just as she was looking fully recovered I noticed this growth on her beak, hard dark lumps on the outside and light colored growth on the inside. Is this more pox or something else?

Yes, it looks like fowl pox on the beak, but that is probably the wet form of fowl pox inside the beak. The wet form is much more serious. Make sure the chicken is eating and drinking. Wet chicken feed and bits scrambled egg may be good to offer. Some people do apply betadine to external scabs to help dry them out, but the scabs are contagious and spread the virus. If she doesn’t drink enough or eat, tube feeding may be something that would be helpful.
