Yes any honey. Local raw is best but any will work. Manuka honey became the rage and now there are fakes out there. Organic honey from continental US and Europe is bunk too.

My hen who is about 7-8 years old had a lump on one of her legs recently, it was fine until it got infected so I brought her to work with me and the vet looked at it. It was falling of so we removed it but there is quite an open wound where it was. I’ve been bandaging it and giving her antibiotics and painkillers since.
Just wondering what the healing is like in hens? I’d rather not get her culled as she’s a pet and is eating and drinking fine just the wound is taking a long time to heal over.
No we’ve ruled out that because I treat them with ivermectin monthly. I’ll try the honey tomorrow when I’m changing the bandage to see does that speed it up,Can you post a photo of both legs?
It's hard to tell, but it looks like she has Scaly Leg Mites. Have you treated her for those? SLM can cause severe lumps that can get infected.
The Baytril along with wound care may heal the open sore, but if the SLM are not taken care of she won't heal completely.
Since I assume you work with a vet, ask them if there is any contraindications with treating her with something like Ivermectin to kill the mites. Usually treatment would include soaking the legs and applying an oil to smother the mites, but if this is a severe infestation, then a systemic medication may be better.
Just my thoughts.

Thanks all
Was treating her monthly at first because we thought that’s what the growth was to startMonthly!. Why monthly? T
For milder cases at least Castor oil is good too and not very messy. They are less harsh ways to treat scaly leg mites that don't involve medicines.
