Growth on the top of chicken foot

One of my rhode island reds have a growth on the top of her foot. It almost looks like shes trying to grow an extra toe. The growth itself is discolored. no scab on the bottom of her foot just the peanut sized growth on the top. Anyone have any ideas what this might be?
