Growth/pimple on chickens back?

I was watching my chooks preen, and i saw this on one of them:

What is it? It is just infront of where the tail feathers are, under the feathers on the back of the chicken. It seems to be sensitive. I checked all my chooks, and all of them have it on them.

An oil gland. All chickens have one.
