Hi
I have a few sick chickens w various symptoms-could be multiple diseases or all connected.
A couple of my BCM’s are showing these growths around head.
Is it fowl pox?
Some other chickens have white and black spots on combs too but these girls in pic below are worst.

Also have a 8mos roo who is losing use of his foot. It seems like a slowly progressive paralysis rather than an injury. He did this before but not as bad and recovered about 3 mos ago— I am worried about Mareks. Have been mega dosing him w vitamins. He is otherwise fine and still eats and trying to mate even tho he can barely move!

Where are you located? Are there mosquitoes out now? Were your chicken vaccinated for anything? One of the 4 forms of Mareks disease can cause skin lesions and tumors. Sometimes a peck wound can cause small abscesses on the skin. Do your vitamins contain riboflavin (vitamin B 2?)

I am in utah. No mosquitoes now but wondering if I could have a slow moving pox going thru flock from last year?? Will get pics of other combs. Different roo had a crusty black growth on his wattles last fall into winter but I thought it was from a fight. Yes lots of b2 (and treated for lice bad infestation w other chickens)

The rooster having trouble w paralysis now is hold beak open to breath a bit and wheezing a bit.but is walking much better today

I dont know much about Mareks but your birds do seem to have a lot of signs of it from my research. Are you able to get them tested?
